YY moved to residence on thursday so being her KPO friend, I went to help her move in!

I saw my photos/cards on YY’s room corkboard! Thats after sec4 cross country before we went to watch Da Vinci Code together. That show was sooo scary and was NC16 but I wasn’t 16 yet so we had to find a cinema that accepted 1990 as sixteens. We didn’t even shower and all that after cross country! Hahahha. Memorable days!

With YY’s hua ze lei. I just realized it looked like my residence mate’s bear. I want a bear like that LOL. The dog marcus/kidd/jenson gave me is cute but very unhuggable.
Her parents drove us to NUS. It was my first visit to the National University of Singapore! So huge! I suddenly felt really excited about school in fall! I guess I sort of miss school life a little, but… I’m still really sad that I only have about 1 month of holidays left. =(

Her residence, Temasek hall. YY and I were amazed at how goodlooking the upper year guy counsellors were. HAHAHA. I asked them about the residence while YY went to get her forms filled.
Maple: How’s the food?
Counsellor: Uhm… lets change topic.

That’s her room! Omg all the residences in NUS have no aircon! Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. I asked YY if she’s in the right mind to move into somewhere without aircon. This is Singapore!!
Her room key is pretty high tech, you have to press the electronic beeper thing before unlocking. However, they don’t have extra security doors like v1 so I’m hoping its safe there. Parents left while I stayed to help YY unpack.

Room is pretty much like v1, bed table cupboard. Pretty dirty though so we had to clean it. YY’s head almost got chopped off by the ceiling fan while she was cleaning the shelves. Whew close shave!!
The orientation package had alot of freebies!

Why did they give such a big can of mosquito killer?! Its hilarious. And gave alot of food! A whole packet of instant coffee! They even gave her a packet of koka instant noodles bahaha. The strangest was a mochi, which YY gave me.

She’s in pink group for residence orientation and keeps complaining about it. Keke. Matched my shirt.

The huge cupboard and YY only used 2 surfaces. LOL. But I guess you don’t have to bring so much stuff the first round when you live only 20 minutes drive away. How I wish it was like that for waterloo. =(

She brought this huge mug and I told her it looked like those prison mugs. Hahaha.
After unpacking and cleaning up, we went for a little walk.

Wow so school-lish! I can imagine tons of students sitting there discussing work or chatting.

Their library has such strict security! You have to have a student card to enter. Woah.

Is this the NUS mascot? Found in the book store.
We bought drinks because YY wanted a plastic bag. Then we realized they charge 10cents for every plastic bag.

Took a shuttle bus. The school’s too huge to walk from one end to the other in time?

Thank you this whoever person who sponsered the university hall?

And I found out that my mom’s office is one of those buidlings opposite NUS. Wow! Ahaha new discovery!
Hope that YY will have loads of fun during orientation and make lots of new friends! Feels strange that that was what I went through about a year ago… =) People always drop out of orientation halfway because they don’t know anyone and thus find it boring. However, if you stop going you’re not going to be able to make any new friends and know anyone! So, hang in there!
Saw this random photo of xenia:

OMG her funny fat face! HAHAHAHA. Still as cute as ever.
And I made peanut butter nutella honey banana sandwich for her breakfast today. =D
